frequently asked questions

Q: What makes Change the Record unique?

We’re Australia’s only national FIRST NATIONS led justice coalition of legal, health and family violence prevention experts.
Our mission is to end the incarceration of, and family violence against, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We have the solutions. We know how to build stronger and safer communities - all we need is the political will and resourcing to make these solutions a reality.

Q: How can I get a tax receipt for my donation/s?

Thank you for your support of Change the Record! Regular donations from supporters like you have helped Change the Record carry out its crucial work to #RaiseTheAge and end the imprisonment of children as young as 10 years old. Your support has also helped us campaign governments to end the discriminatory practices that contribute to the devastating numbers of Black deaths in custody every year. We rely entirely on donations and gifts to power our work.

Unfortunately donations to Change the Record aren't tax deductible just yet. We’re trying to get DGR status and we are hoping to have this finalised this year.

Q: I paused my donations, can I re-start them again?

Yes! You can restart your regular donations by entering your information and credit card details here: http://changetherecord.org.au/donate

You can also set up regular direct debit. If you would like to set this up please contact us on admin@changetherecord.org.au so we can assist you.

Thank you for for your support! Regular donations are the most powerful way to contribute to our campaigns, ensuring we can keep working on ending the incarceration of, and family violence against, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Q: How can I make a one-off donation?

Thank you for wanting to make a one-off donation! All donations make an incredible difference and help us carry on our work to Raise the Age, end family violence against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and children and, stop the mass incarceration of First Nations people.

To make a one off donation, simply enter your information and credit card details here: https://www.changetherecord.org.au/donate If you’d prefer to make a bank transfer or you need any help with your donations, please contact us at admin@changetherecord.org.au
